Dan is a graduate of Laurentian University and Wilfred Laurier University and has been in the field of Mental Health treating youth, adolescents, adults, couples and families for over 45 years. He has been in private practice since 1989 and founded Dan Keaney and Associates Counselling and Consultation Services in 1998.
Dan has extensive training and clinical experience in the areas of post traumatic stress, critical incident stress, grief and loss. Dan also has worked extensively with First responders (police, paramedics, fire fighters, veterans) and their families.
Dan is also a certified BOS (Before Operational Stress) Instructor.

Tessa is a graduate with Honours from the Social Services program at Cambrian College Sudbury ON. Tessa is a Certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist® . This training has allowed her to gain years of experience in working with clients to process and learn to live with grief and loss. Services have been offered in both individual and group settings.
Tessa has extensive experience in assisting individuals through their emotional and psychological rehabilitation and return to work process.
Tessa has additional gerontological experience and education in working with older adults living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and their family.
In 2023 Tessa retired from Sudbury’s Maison McCulloch Hospice after being a member of the Hospice Supportive Care Team since 2013.
Tessa has an interest in assisting individuals living with chronic illness and supporting their caregivers and loved ones in working through the struggles that arise when living with a chronic, progressive disease.
She is an effective and creative advocate for older adults, adults, teens and children. Tessa believes in and promotes an holistic, strength and solution focussed approach to emotional health.
